The Baltinglass men’s shed is forming,
a chance for men to socialize and/or work together on projects and have a bit of craic. The Parish has given us meeting hall, some raised beds and an old shed to fix up kit out to use for work shop. Our first project is the work shed itself, we need to prep and pour a floor, repair the slate roof, construct some doors, add a few sky lights, do some small electrical works and then move on to building some work benches and gathering some tools. We need men to help where they can with the shed and resourcing materials. We also need men with some ideas on where we can go with our shed, projects and activities and social events and those who would just like to be part. Our start up community meetings are on Wednesdays at 10:30 in our Hall (old two room cottage to the right of the stables just before the parking area for the Kare building). Please feel free to join start up community meetings Wednesday mornings, if this time does not suit your work schedule you can Text or email us or go onto our forum website and let us know you are interested in helping out or being part of the men’s shed.
